Do you still remember about Game Prime 2016 Surabaya? This event successfully gathered more than 800 attendees. This success story continued to our Capital City, Jakarta. Bekraf Game Prime 2016 was held for two days, November 29th and 30th 2016, in Balai Kartini.

Bekraf Game Prime 2016 was the biggest collaboration among Badan Ekonomi Kreatif (BEKRAF), Duniaku Network, Asosiasi Game Indonesia (AGI), Dicoding, GemuGemu, KotakGame, Toge Productions, GCM and IndieGames.com. This event was also supported by Bekraf, Unity, Freakout dewina Indonesia, VMax, Forest Interactive, Gameloft, Krunchisoft, PT. Garena Indonesia and Megaxus.

Bekraf Game Prime 2016 had several activities such like Lecture, Networking, Showcase, Workshop, Prime Connect, Game Dev Award, dan Game Jam. This event had more than 4000 registered attendees from students/college students, fresh graduates, developers, publishers, and investors. Also, more than 80 game developers participated in this event.

The important thing was you can learn and share knowledge among the Game Industry Players, one of them is FreakOut dewina Indonesia. FreakOut Team shared the insight and strategy to develop game business in Indonesia. Erdian Tomy, in Daily Social, explained about how big our mobile game market was and how we should monetize our mobile game app. While Sihkami Denting was the speaker on the Main Stage, explained about Game Monetization Strategy in Indonesia Market.

The revenue of game was still dominated by advertising than in-app purchase or other ways of revenue. We should find a win-win solution to gain more revenue and also kept our users. Having less intrusive ad format (such like Native Advertising) was one of the best answers so far. Native Ad had a similar look like the platform it was placed.

Indonesia Game Market actually has high value. In this year, the value of Indonesia Game Industry is about US$ 321 million. It is predicted US$ 606 million in the next year. Unfortunately, our Game Industry is still dominated by foreign developers. By this event (and other events) BEKRAF tried to support Indonesia Game Industry, by encouraging local game developers to keep productive and beat foreign games.
